SLO Sheriffs Catch Mail Thieves
The San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Department has two North County residents under arrest for allegedly stealing mail.
According to the sheriff’s department, a deputy first spotted two suspects driving in the shopping center on Niblick Road. Sheriffs say the deputy had been on the lookout for one of the suspects, Lisa Jerriann Becerra, 39, of Templeton because she had numerous warrants out for her arrest.
According to the deputy, because of her felony probation status he searched the car and found stolen items in the form of hundreds of pieces of mail, debit/credit cards, and checks. Also in the car was Felix Kim Becerra Jr., 42, of Paso Robles. Both were taken into custody.
Felix Becerra was arrested for possession of stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license, committing a felony while out on bail and aiding/harboring a felon. His bail is currently set at $250,000.
Lisa Becerra was arrested on her outstanding warrants and for the new charge of receiving/possessing stolen property. She is being held without bail.
