At 9:30 pm on March 31, deputies responded to the Five Star Mini Storage at 13508 Hanford Armona Road concerning a burglary in progress.
The manager saw the burglary on the site’s surveillance camera and was able to provide a description of the vehicle involved in the burglary. An arriving deputy spotted the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle would not stop and the chase began, entering onto Highway 198 and sometimes exceeding 100 m.p.h.
At some point spike strips were successfully deployed, but the driver continued to drive the vehicle on the front passenger tire rim.
The vehicle chase ended at an orchard, and the driver ran while his female passenger stayed behind.
Christopher Brinsfield , the driver, was arrested for a warrant out of Tennessee. He was booked on charges of felony pursuit, burglary, stolen property, conspiracy and resisting arrest, with a bail of $175,000.
His passenger, Cayela Bain, was booked on charges of burglary, stolen property and conspiracy and her bail was set at $130,000.
The stolen property that was recovered was valued at $5,150.00.
