Lady Gaga’s Dognappers/Dog-Walker’s Armed Attackers – Five are Charged

HOLLYWOOD – An ongoing investigation into a shocking incident that took a horrific turn on February 24th – when two of Lady Gaga’s beloved French Bulldogs were viciously wrenched from her dogwalker by armed attackers – is proceeding forward in the courts.
Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced on April 30th that five people have been charged for their alleged roles in the shooting of the dogwalker.
“On February 24, a man was walking three French Bulldogs, belonging to actress-singer Lady Gaga, when he was approached by James Howard Jackson (dob 8/6/02), Jaylin Keyshawn White (dob 9/12/01) and Lafayette Shon Whaley (dob 3/9/94),” said D.A. spokesperson Greg Risling. “The defendants struggled with the victim who was allegedly shot by Jackson. They are accused of grabbing two of the prized dogs and fleeing in a vehicle.”
Risling added, “The victim was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.” Two days after the shooting on a Hollywood street, Lady Gaga appealed for help from her throngs of fans and followers via social media: “February 26 · My beloved dogs Koji and Gustav were taken in Hollywood two nights ago. My heart is sick and I am praying my family will be whole again with an act of kindness. I will pay $500,000 for their safe return. Email KojiandGustav@gmail.com to contact us. Or, if you bought or found them unknowingly, the reward is the same. I continue to love you Ryan Fischer, you risked your life to fight for our family. You’re forever a hero.”
“The dogs were later turned over unharmed to police,” said Risling. Los Angeles Police Department Investigators are still delving into the ongoing case. Later, it was revealed that two more individuals were involved – Harold White (dob 7/18/80) and Jennifer McBride (dob 7/23/70). All five suspects were charged in connection with the dogwalker’s shooting.
Charges of one count each of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit robbery and second-degree robbery were handed to Jackson, the younger White, and Whaley in case BA493262.
Jackson additionally faces one count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and a felon carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle. White faces one count of assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury.
The elder White, along with McBride, were each charged with one count of accessory after the fact. The elder White also was charged with one count of possession of a firearm. In addition, McBride faces one count of receiving stolen property.
The defendants were slated for arraignment in L.A. on April 30th in Department 30 of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center.
“This was a brazen street crime that left a man seriously wounded,” said D.A. Gascón. “We have alleged very serious charges in this case and have faith that justice will be appropriately served as this case unfolds in court.”
