“CORONA, CA– On Monday, July 19, 2021, at approximately 3:20 P.M., Corona police officers responded to investigate a sexual assault that occurred on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. A 15-year-old victim reported she was walking in the area of Corona Avenue and Parkridge Avenue when an unknown suspect drove alongside her, asked her for directions, and demanded she enter his vehicle. The victim complied with the suspect’s demands and entered his vehicle at which time he drove the victim to a residential area where he sexually assaulted her.
Through our investigation, the suspect was later identified as Andrew San Gabino, 25-years-old from Pasadena, CA. On Thursday, July 22, 2021, Corona Police detectives, with the assistance of the Riverside County Gang Impact Team, located and arrested San Gabino for kidnapping to sexually assault a child, lewd acts with a child, and kidnapping with substantially increasing the risk of harm to a child. San Gabino was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center and is being held on a $130,000.00 bail.
This investigation is still ongoing and our detective believes there may be unreported incidents involving San Gabino.
