“Thanks to a very alert citizen, officers responded to the area of Canton Ridge Terrace for a petty theft radio call. The suspects were reported to be breaking into the community mailboxes and stealing mail.
When officers arrived in the area, two individuals were walking away from the mailboxes toward a vehicle parked close by. A neighbor pointed out the two suspects to our officers and they were detained. A third suspect was asleep in the vehicle and also detained.
They were in possession of controlled substances including heroin, meth, and fentanyl. They also had a digital scale, a large amount of money, more than 40 credit cards, ID cards, blank checks, credit card printing equipment, and USPS postal keys.
With the help of the community, all three suspects were arrested and booked into jail on the appropriate charges.”
