Our Special Investigations Unit has arrested a known gang member who led officers on a high-speed chase.
It all started last week when SIU officers saw Jordan Diaz driving in the area of Green Valley Road and Silver Leaf Drive. They were well aware that the 23-year-old wasn’t supposed to be behind the wheel because of a suspended driver’s license.
They attempted to pull him over but Diaz immediately fled at a high rate of speed. Officers followed him but ultimately canceled the car chase after Diaz continued to drive recklessly, reaching speeds well above 90 mph, while putting others in danger.
On Wednesday afternoon, Diaz was arrested on a warrant for felony evading and for driving on a suspended driver’s license.

Intentaron pararlo, pero Díaz huyó de inmediato a alta velocidad. Oficiales lo siguieron, pero cancelaron la persecución después de que Díaz continuó conduciendo imprudentemente, alcanzando velocidades de más de 90 mph, mientras ponía a otros en peligro.
El miércoles por la tarde, Díaz fue arrestado bajo una orden judicial por evasión de delito grave y por manejar con una licencia de conducir suspendida.
