Two people have been arrested in connection to the alleged illegal cultivation of marijuana and operation of a butane honey oil (BHO) lab in Shasta County, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded on the morning of Wednesday, November 3, to the 16000 block of Emmett Lane in Anderson regarding an outdoor marijuana cultivation site. At the site, deputies reportedly discovered weapons — three handguns and two AR-15 style rifles — and various forms of processed marijuana.
Deputies also say the found about 150 growing marijuana plants, and a “closed-loop” BHO lab housed in a shed. Shasta Interagency Narcotics Task Force agents assisted in the dismantling of the lab, which posed an explosion and fire hazard, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Arrested in connection to the operation were 36-year-old Paul James Corona Jr. and 21-year-old Christian Joel Magana on multiple felony charges including manufacturing of a controlled substance, conspiracy, and child endangerment.
