“On Monday, November 15th, at 6:16 P.M. officers responded to a report of a single vehicle traffic collision at Shasta View and Inspiration Place.
Officers arrived on scene and located a 2004 Chevy truck laying on its driver side. It appears the vehicle was southbound on Shasta View approaching the roundabout at Inspiration place.
For unknown reasons the vehicle left the roadway prior to the roundabout, sheared off a Redding light pole and continued through the roundabout.
The vehicle appears to have rolled at least once leaving a large amount of debris in the roadway.
Officers located the driver of the vehicle near the scene of the collision. He was identified as Nathaniel Edwards, 23 years of Redding, and was determined to be driving under the influence and subsequently arrested.
