“Today an EDSO patrol deputy spotted a vehicle which matched the suspect vehicle from a vehicle burglary on Tuesday at In Shape Fitness in Shingle Springs.
Upon contacting the driver, he was found to have a misdemeanor warrant. Inside the vehicle deputies located stolen items from Tuesday’s vehicle burglary, and discovered that the suspect had just stolen a catalytic converter from a vehicle on scene.
The suspect was found in possession of two stolen catalytic converters, burglary tools, and more. The suspect was arrested and booked on multiple fresh charges to include vehicle burglary, possession of stolen property, and possession of burglary tools.
Because of the security surveillance made available by In Shape Fitness, EDSO was able to identify the suspect vehicle from Tuesday’s incident.
Security surveillance is often the most effective tool in solving property crimes. Thank you to all involved. Great Teamwork!”
