Two Arrested in Grisly Murder-Arson Case
A burned body of a man found in the trunk of a vehicle south of Del Rey last month finally led to some clues and an arrest was made of two men accused of the gruesome murder, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office in a report released Thursday.
Arrested were Jesus Arrevalo, 19 and Angel Nunez, 18 in the crime committed on Renato Arrevalo, 19, no relation to Jesus. The victim’s body was found in the vehicle parked near Adams and Del Rey Avenues July 24.
Both suspects are residents of Del Rey. Jesus was arrested Wednesday at his home in the 6000 block of South Academy Avenue while Nunez was taken into custody Thursday morning at his home in the 6000 block of South Greenwood Avenue.
The two suspects were taken to Fresno County Jail and charged with arson and murder.
