“On Tuesday, January 18th, 2022, at approximately 07:00 a.m., Agents from the Yuba-Sutter Narcotic and Gang Enforcement Task Force (NET-5), with assistance from the Yuba City Police Department, executed a search warrant in the 2100 block of Live Oak Blvd., in Yuba City. The suspect of the search warrant, Marcus Mercado (31 years old), was believed to be selling powder fentanyl out of the residence.
During the execution of the search warrant, NET-5 Agents located 15.3 grams of powder fentanyl, 20 broken Xanax pills, packaging and a digital scale, inside of Marcus Mercado’s bedroom.
At the time of the warrant, Mercado was inside his bedroom with Kylie Torres (22 years old) of Marysville, CA.
Marcus Mercado was arrested and booked into the Sutter County Jail for charges of possession for sale of fentanyl and an outstanding felony arrest warrant out of Yuba County, CA. Bryan Stacey was arrested and booked into the Sutter County Jail for charges of possession of methamphetamine for sale.
Kylie Torres was arrested and booked into the Sutter County Jail for two outstanding arrest warrants out of Yuba County, CA. The investigation has been sent to the Sutter County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.”
