Bay Area woman accused of domestic violence battery in Mendocino County

A woman from the Bay Area has been arrested in Mendocino County after allegedly physically assaulting her partner while he was driving, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
On the evening of April 17th, deputies had responded to a domestic violence report out of the 14000 block of Highway 128 in Boonsville, but the subjects had departed by the time deputies arrived, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Shortly thereafter, dispatch received a call from one of the people involved in the initial call, saying that he’d pulled over in a rural area of Highway 128 after he’d been physically assaulted while driving.
Deputies responded to the area and contacted the man, who was there with a woman identified as 36-year-old Ekaterina Alyabyeva. Deputies learned the two were in a dating relationship.
After noting visible injuries on the man’s body, deputies had probable cause suggesting Alyabyeva was the assailant and took her into custody on suspicion of domestic violence battery. Her bail was set at $25,000, the Sheriff’s Office said.
