LOS ANGELES – The man who gained infamy for his special appearance on the Hollywood Bowl stage earlier this month – where he tackled Dave Chappelle, while armed with a replica gun sporting a blade – is being held to additional lethal task. Isaiah Arias Lee (23), of Los Angeles, who reportedly raps under the name “NoName Trapper”, had more hidden up his sleeve than originally revealed in the May 5th Crime Voice story – https://www.crimevoice.com/2022/05/05/man-arrested-after-allegedly-attacking-dave-chappelle/
The Los Angeles County District Attorneys Office has charged Lee with attempted murder in a December 2nd stabbing of his roommate during a fight at a transitional housing apartment. The DA’s Office reports that the result of media reports about the Chappelle case gave way to the victim ID’ing Lee as the assaulter previously reported to police.
At this time, the original misdemeanor assault case for Lee’s onstage incident has changed judicial venues and prosecutors. Lee pleaded not guilty on May 19th, and was scheduled to return on June 2nd in Department 32 of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center.
“The publicity generated by the attack on Mr. Chappelle helped police solve this crime,” said District Attorney Gascón. “The incident that occurred at the Hollywood Bowl was misdemeanor conduct and rightfully referred to the City Attorney’s Office. Based on the nature and severity of the December attack, Mr. Lee is now facing felony charges which my office will prosecute.”
Los Angeles Police Department continues their ongoing investigation into Case BA50548, which was was filed for warrant on May 18th.
