“On 06/06/22, at approximately 2254 hours, SRPD officers responded to the 2600 block of Santa Rosa Av on a report of a firearm brandishing that just occurred. It was reported the suspect pointed a firearm at the victim’s face and stated he was going to “smoke him.”
The suspect left the general area and officers conducted an area check for him. An officer located the suspect in the area of Harvest Park on Burt St. The officer attempted to contact the suspect who immediately fled on foot. The officer chased the suspect on foot for approximately 300 yards, at which time the suspect gave up and was detained without incident.
Officers conducted an area check for the firearm in the path where the suspect fled and located a replica handgun discarded in the bushes.
It was later learned the suspect attempted to take the victim’s bicycle and when the victim did not allow the suspect to take the bicycle, that was when the suspect pointed the firearm at the victim’s face.
The suspect, 22-year-old Santa Rosa resident, Brayan Arambula-Lopez, was booked into the Sonoma County Jail for the following violations:
211 PC – Robbery
422 PC – Criminal Threats
417.4 PC – Brandishing an Imitation Firearm
148(a)(1) PC – Resisting Arrest
