Deputies on lookout for burglary suspects
San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s deputies are looking for three suspects who have been linked to vehicle burglaries in the San Miguel area.
According to deputies, they were investigating vehicle burglaries in San Miguel and attempted to apprehend two males and one female seen running across a nearby field. Deputies say the area was searched and the female was located and subsequently arrested.
According to the sheriff’s department press release, at approximately 1 p.m. a deputy responding to a call of suspicious subjects in San Miguel Park detained and later arrested one of the two male suspects from the earlier vehicle burglaries.
Witnesses said the third suspect fled over the fence onto the freeway.
Deputies say a search of the area was conducted then with officers from the California Highway Patrol and the CHP helicopter. However, the third suspect was not located. Deputies say the investigation is continuing.
