An Ontario has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to kidnap a male juvenile with the intent to sexually assault him.
Treyveon Demerre Deadwyler, 34, was already on active parole for a prior conviction of sexual assault at the time of the most recent incident. He now faces charges of kidnapping with intent to commit rape, lewd and lascivious acts with a minor, child annoyance, and a violation of parole.
A 15-year-old boy called police the afternoon of August 17th, “stating an adult male was attempting to kidnap him,” according to the Ontario Police Department. The boy told officers he was able to fight off the man and run away before he called.
Police responded to the location where the attack took place, in the 3800 block of Riverside Avenue. Using information received from the victim, they were able to identify Deadwyler as the suspect. Police located him a few blocks away, in the 2900 block of South Alder Creek Drive, and arrested him without incident.
Deadwyler was subsequently booked at West Valley Detention Center without bail.
