“In July of this year, a Davis resident reported a theft of packages from their porch worth over $1,500. Detectives were able to identify the suspect from surveillance video as Tyler Webster, a 35 year old Davis Resident.
On August 11, 2022, Detectives with the Davis Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving Unit (COPPS) located and arrested Webster for the crime. During a search of the hotel room that Webster was staying in, Detectives located 157 grams of Fentanyl, a digital scale, packaging material and $3,990 cash.
Detectives also located a stolen bicycle valued at $2,000 and a stolen laptop taken from a commercial burglary.
Webster was placed under arrest and booked at the Yolo County Jail for Grand Theft; Possession of controlled substance for sales; Possession of stolen property; Possession of controlled substance; Possession of Paraphernalia; and Probation violation.
