Woman arrested in connection to alleged armed robbery in Turlock
Turlock police have announced the arrest of an armed robbery suspect following an extensive investigation.
Police began investigating an armed robbery that occurred on the morning of August 23, in which a woman allegedly entered a business on Lander Avenue, wearing a mask and armed with a handgun, and later fled in a gold SUV.
Detectives obtained surveillance footage from the area and distributed images of the vehicle to neighboring police agencies. The vehicle was soon located in Ceres and officers spoke with the driver, gathering more information about the robbery and ultimately securing a search warrant for a home on Rose Avenue.
Turlock PD SWAT officers served the warrant that evening and detained multiple individuals. Information gathered during the search led to the suspect being identified as 32-year-old April Breann Croy, police said.
Acting on information gathered during the search, investigators located and arrested Croy on the afternoon of August 24. The firearm used in the alleged robbery was later found and confiscated.
Croy was booked Stanislaus County jail on suspicion of robbery.
