Santa Cruz police have announced the arrest of a man on an outstanding felony warrant as well as the alleged possession of various drugs for sale.
On September 8, officers reportedly spotted a man they knew to have an outstanding felony warrant in the Benchlands area. Officers contacted the man, identified as 33-year-old Miguel Medina, who was also on probation at the time, police said.
Officers discovered that Medina was in possession of nearly 60 grams of fentanyl, 43.43 grams of methamphetamine, 8.7 grams of heroin, 1.3 grams of cocaine, packaging material, and a scale — all suggestive of narcotics sales, police said.
Medina was ultimately arrested and booked on his outstanding warrant, as well as suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale.
