Placer County Deputy and K9 Seize 60,000 Tablets of Suspected Fentanyl

Placer County Sheriff’s deputies and K9 Deputy Ruger recently made two arrests and confiscated tens of thousands of suspected fentanyl pills during a traffic stop.
According to a press release by the Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted a traffic stop at the Rocklin Road exit in Placer County on the afternoon of Thursday, November 17th. During a sniff test of the vehicle, K-9 Ruger reportedly alerted to the passenger side of the vehicle.
The deputy checked the passenger side and discovered a duffle bag containing around 60,000 blue tablets of suspected fentanyl.
Both occupants of the vehicle — Jorge Vega and Oscar Silvas, both age 30 — were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and transportation of a controlled substance.
