CORONA — Around 6:20 on the evening of Tuesday, December 20th, officers responded to a report of a man brandishing a knife at employees at a local business.
Officers responded to the business, located on the 400 block of North McKinley Street, and observed a man matching the individual’s description walking along the street.
An officer attempted to stop the subject, but the subject ran across the street, initiating a foot pursuit.
The pursuit eventually ended on the 2200 block of Griffin way, and after several commands given from officers, they were able to take the suspect into custody.
At the police department, the suspect allegedly spat on one of the officers, police said.
The suspect — identified as William Larson, 35, of Corona — was reportedly on mandatory supervision for vandalism.
Larson was ultimately booked on suspicion of brandishing a weapon, petty theft, resisting arrest, assault on a peace officer, and probation violation.
