Suspect Injured After Fleeing from Alleged Home Burglary
An Oakland man suspected of a home burglar was seriously injured Wednesday after crashing into a Vallejo home.
According to the Vallejo Times Herald, the man was suspected to have attempted to burglarize a home on Hobbs Avenue at around 11:30 a.m. Police arrived at the scene after receiving reports of the burglary, and saw a dark Chevy Malibu matching the description from reports of suspect’s vehicle. The suspect led the officers on a chase where speeds were reached of up to 90 mph.
According to the Vallejo Times Herald, the chase was described by officers as short, ending when the suspect crashed into a fence on Tuolumne and Riverview streets and then into a beige-colored home. The suspect, identified as Tadao Henning, 24, Oakland, was taken to Kaiser Permanente in Vallejo.
A warrant will be sought out for his arrest, police said.
No other information about the incident was available as of Thursday.
