“On, January 23rd, 2023, Detectives from the Fontana Police Department received information that Francisco Rangel (44 years old) was using online chatting platforms to contact juveniles in attempt to receive illicit photos from the victims.
Further investigation revealed, Rangel had previously been arrested by Fontana Police Detectives on May 16th, 2022, and was later convicted for PC 311.11(a) (possession and/or distribution of child porn). Upon the completion of his original sentence, Rangel was released on Parole January 17th, 2023. In a collaborative effort with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Rangel was located within the City of Chino. Rangel was placed under arrest without incident and his electronic devices were seized as evidence.
Detectives are seeking the public’s help in an effort to locate additional victims. Rangel’s social media accounts were:
