The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office has announced two arrests in connection to the brutal murders of six people, including a 10-month-old baby, in Goshen last month.
In a news release, county Sheriff Mike Boudreaux identified 35-year-old Angel Uriarte and 25-year-old Noah Beard as the primary suspects in the fatal shootings of Eladio Parraz (52), Marcos Parraz (19; Eladio’s son), Jennifer Analla (49; Eladio’s partner), Rosa Parraz (72; Eladio’s mother), Alissa Parraz (16; Rosa’s great-grandaughter), and Alissa’s 10-month-old son, Nycholas.
Just before 4 AM on January 16, 2023, deputies had responded to a report of shots fired at a property on the 6800 block of Harvest Road. By the time deputies arrived, just seven minutes after the initial call, all six victims had died.
Detectives almost immediately began investigating the case as a targeted attack, and identified Uriarte and Beard as the suspects soon thereafter. Detectives then began 24-hour surveillance on the two suspects.
On the morning of Friday, February 3, over 100 federal, state, and local law enforcement personnel served search warrants at three locations in connection with the investigation. At the first location — on the 1000 block of South Noyes Street in Visalia — authorities located and arrested Beard without incident.
At the second location — the 6600 block of Avenue 308 and Goshen — authorities located Uriarte, who reportedly tried to flee on foot and fired multiple shots at law enforcement agents. Agents returned fire and Uriarte was struck in the torso.
Uriarte was quickly hospitalized for emergency surgery and is expected to survive, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Although a motive has yet to be determined, the Sheriff’s Office reports that two members of the Parraz family were known and validated members of the Surreno gang. Uriarte and Beard are members of the Norteno gang, and Goshen is a predominately Norteno town, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Both Uriarte and Beard remain in police custody on multiple charges of murder.
