“On February 2nd, 2023, at approximately 12:30 PM, Redding Police were dispatched to the Mt. Shasta Mall, located at 900 Dana Drive, in response to an armed subject inside the shopping center. Security officers at the location observed a female enter the location with a handgun partially concealed in her waistband, and reported the incident. Responding officers located the female,
who was identified as 24-year-old Redding resident Jodeci Whitewolf, inside the mall. Officers observed the exposed grip of a firearm protruding from Whitewolf’s waistband.
Officers contacted Whitewolf and detained her without incident. An inspection of the firearm, a loaded 9mm Smith and Wesson semi-automatic, revealed the serial number was altered in an unsuccessful attempt to make it unreadable. A check of the serial number confirmed the firearm was stolen out of Union City, California. Also concealed in Whitewolf’s waistband, officers located a small amount of suspected methamphetamine.
Whitewolf was booked into Shasta County Jail on charges related to carrying a concealed weapon, carrying a stolen and loaded firearm, possession of a firearm with altered serial number, and possession of a controlled substance while armed with a loaded firearm.”
