Man Arrested for Alleged Armed Robbery on Highway 46 in Kern County

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office has announced in a press release the arrest of a suspect in connection to an alleged robbery in Wasco.
The Sheriff’s Office Wasco Substation received a call for assistance at around 3:45 early Wednesday morning, February 22, and dispatched deputies to the scene on the 1800 block of Highway 46.
Upon arrival, they found an individual matching the description of the perpetrator who appeared to be fleeing the area. The deputies quickly apprehended the suspect, identified as Luis Quezada, a 19-year-old resident of Wasco.
Quezada was reportedly found to be in possession of stolen currency, a pellet gun, a black ski mask, and gloves, which deputies believe were used in the commission of the crime.
Quezada was then transported to the Kern County Jail and booked on suspicion of robbery, vandalism, brandishing an imitation firearm, and resisting arrest, the Sheriff’s Office said.
