Feds Raid Local Real Estate Office
Commercial neighbors of Apex Real Estate in downtown San Luis Obispo are wondering why Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents raided the local real estate office on Tuesday.
According to The Tribune, FBI agents entered the real estate office with search warrants.
The Apex Real Estate office is located at 505 South Higuera Street in downtown San Luis Obispo.
According to The Tribune, no arrests were made by FBI agents and the warrants were under seal, which means the probable cause or reason for searching is not made public.
The FBI is a federal law enforcement agency and would only investigate crimes that are pursuable at the federal level.
There is no indication at this time that local law enforcement agencies were involved or even advised of the raid.
The warrants served by the FBI are processed through the federal judiciary system by federal judges.
It is unknown if documents or computer equipment were seized during the Tuesday raid.
Apex Real Estate is owned by Paso Robles resident Tim Barnes.
