2 Wyoming Residents arrested for Meth and Weapons in Amador

The Amador County Sheriff’s Office arrested two individuals from Rock Springs, Wyoming, on March 18, 2023, following a traffic stop that led to the discovery of a loaded firearm and a significant amount of methamphetamine.
At approximately 7:29 pm, a deputy patrolling Highway 88 near Homestead Road in Pioneer pulled over a Dodge Durango for a vehicle code violation. Upon contacting the driver and passenger, the driver revealed the presence of a firearm near the front passenger seat.
The deputy then conducted a search of the vehicle with assistance from K9 Zidan, and found a loaded handgun and nearly an ounce of methamphetamine, along with drug paraphernalia and drug packaging materials.
The driver, identified as 41-year-old Nickolaus Holgate, and the passenger, identified as 34-year-old Amber Baker, were arrested and booked into the Amador County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance for sale, unlawful possession of a firearm, and other firearm and drug-related charges.
The incident highlights the dangers of drug trafficking and the importance of law enforcement in removing drugs and firearms from the streets.
