PITTSBURG — Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing of a convenience store clerk. Meanwhile, a third suspect with an outstanding warrant for murder remains at- large.
Two shooting incidents occurred in the same vicinity on the night of March 22. Police were investigating gunfire on Bruno Avenue, when they heard more shots coming from Power Avenue.
No one was injured in the first incident on Bruno Avenue, where several shots were fired into the air. Gregory Rossignon, 37, and Jessica M. Russo, 34, both of Pittsburg, allegedly fled from the area.
Shortly after 9:30 p.m., a second shooting was reported at E-Z Stop Convenience Food. More officers were dispatched to the store at 1000 Power Avenue. A clerk 44-year-old Abdul Raouf was found fatally shot at the store. The perpetrators again fled before police arrived.
Rossignon and Russo are suspects in both incidents. Russo has been arrested and booked at the Martinez Detention Facility. However, Rossignon is still being sought by police on suspicion of murder.
Russo was apprehended after a standoff with police at a residence on the 2000 block of D Street in Antioch. An aerial drone and tear gas were deployed before Russo was placed under arrest. Already a felon, she was convicted in September 2022 for possession of a controlled substance for sale.
A third suspect Allan Agloro, 43, is also implicated in the fatal shooting of the store clerk. Agloro was taken into custody at a residence in Pittsburg.
The investigation remains active. Anyone with information can contact Pittsburg police detective Jonathan Elmore at 925-925-4875.
