“Last night (approx 0015 hours) while assisting Caltrans District 2 with chain screening, this Tesla collided with a parked CalTrans Truck on N/B I-5 at Fawndale. CHP Redding conducted a collision investigation and DUI investigation. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUI and Child Endangerment.
NEVER DRINK AND DRIVE! It’s a deadly situation to drive while impaired or distracted. It can affect people other than you, thousands of innocent people are hurt or killed by impaired driving every year!

Luckily no one was killed in this collision. The driver and juvenile passenger were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.”
