A year-long investigation into child sexual abuse and internet crimes against children has led to the arrest of 28-year-old Sebastion Hockett of Briceland. Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives conducted a search of Hockett’s residence on March 30, 2023, after identifying him as being engaged in manufacturing and possessing online child pornography involving at least two minor victims.
During the search, additional evidence related to the investigation was seized, and Hockett was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of sexual assault of a minor under 10 years old, sexual assault of an unconscious victim, and sexual exploitation of a child. Additional charges are expected to be requested as a result of the search warrant.
Detectives believe that there may be additional victims who have not yet been identified.
