“On Thursday, March 16, 2023, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Gang Suppression Unit (GSU) Detectives arrested 28-year-old “Gas Guttah” gang member Travis SMITH (aka “AR Trav”). After contacting him on a vehicle stop, a search of his vehicle yielded two loaded firearms, which he was legally forbidden to possess. SMITH was already on active parole, as he was recently released from prison on February 25, 2023, after serving approximately eight years for firearms related charges.
SMITH was taken into custody and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail for several felony charges including PC 29800(a)(1) [Possession of a Firearm by a Felon] and PC 273a(a) [Child Endangerment]. SMITH remains in custody, as he is ineligible for bail. He is scheduled to appear in court next on April 11, 2023, at 1:35 P.M.”
