Some people are not only good at their jobs, but they’re true workaholics…even if their work is stealing the property of others.
That appears to be the case of 22-year-old Moorpark resident Brian Quinones, who was arrested on the morning of April 26th on suspicion of multiple property and identity crimes.
According to Ventura County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Det. Maribel Ambriz, reports of thefts from Moorpark recreational and fitness facility locker rooms throughout March and April of this year “where victims encountered a financial loss” lead to an investigation by VCSD East County and Moorpark Police Investigation unit detectives.
With at least six other theft incidents from “local gyms” on their books, detectives ultimately identified Quinones “as the suspect committing these crimes.” A search warrant was obtained and served on Quinones’ “person, residence, and associated vehicles.” The product of those searches was the discovery of multiple “evidentiary items” connecting Quinones to at least a half-dozen thefts.
Quinones was taken into custody and transported to Ventura County Jail, where he was booked on multiple charges of theft, identify theft, burglary, and grand theft, with his bail set at $150,000.
