Two Arrested in Connection to Restaurant Shooting in Glendale

Authorities in Los Angeles County have announced the identification and arrests of two suspects in connection to an alleged shooting at a restaurant in Glendale.

Police said in a press release that the shooting occurred at Phoenicia Restaurant on North Central Avenue at around 1 AM on Saturday, April 22.

According to the press release, the incident started as an altercation and led to both parties being hospitalized for gunshot wounds. The were listed in stable condition following the incident, police said.

Detectives assumed the investigation and began interviewing witnesses, a process through which they were able to determine a possible course of events. The two men involved in the shooting were identified as Emil Ayrapetian (43) of Los Angeles and Vardan Amolikyan (40) of Glendale.

Police say that, based on the investigation thusfar, the incident appears to be isolated and that there is “no ongoing threat to public safety.”

Though recovering at hospital, the two individuals are expected to face charges as a result of the incident. It was unclear at press time whether either had retained an attorney, and police have yet to release additional details on the investigation.
