“On Friday, August 11th at about 12:50 a.m., an Imperial County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle for a speeding violation near the intersection of Hawk St and Dogwood Rd in Heber. The driver failed to yield, and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit ended at the intersection of W Hawk St and N Palm Ave. A total of 49.4 pounds of Fentanyl pills and 4.75 pounds of cocaine were located in the suspect’s vehicle and subsequently seized. The driver was taken into custody without further incident and booked on charges related to the pursuit and possession of narcotics.”
