“On August 30, 2023, 38-year-old Terrell Abston of Sacramento County was arrested in relation to a child abuse investigation conducted by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, Child Abuse Bureau.
On April 27, 2023, an unknown male suspect entered an apartment near Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd through a window. Once inside, the suspect approached a 9-year-old female sleeping in the living room with her family. The suspect began licking the bottom of her foot while she slept. When the 9-year-old child woke up, the suspect motioned for the child to be quiet, and the child covered herself with a blanket. The suspect then began licking the foot and sucking on the toe of the 9-year-old child’s mother, who was sleeping beside her. The mother woke up and yelled, which caused the suspect to flee the apartment.
Deputies responded and collected evidence from the scene, including evidentiary swabs of both the child’s and mother’s feet. Upon a forensic examination of the swabs, the Sacramento County Crime Lab obtained a case-to-case DNA match, indicating the DNA taken from the feet of one of the victims matched that of Terrell Abston. Terrell Abston was already in custody at the Sacramento Main Jail for unrelated burglary charges. Terrell Abston is charged with Lewd or Lascivious acts with a child under 14, Burglary, and Civilian Battery and is held without bail.”
