Brave 61-Year-Old Survives Attack; Suspect Arrested on Attempted Murder Charges

A harrowing incident unfolded in Napa County today, leaving a 61-year-old homeowner injured but alive, thanks to his bravery and quick thinking. Authorities have arrested 33-year-old Andrew Kenneth Dixon on charges of attempted murder, elder abuse, and assault with a deadly weapon following the morning altercation.
The incident transpired on the 5200 block of Silverado Trail, where the homeowner made a chilling discovery – Andrew Dixon trespassing on his property. What followed was a terrifying confrontation that could have had a far grimmer outcome.
According to initial reports, Dixon, apparently uninvited and with malicious intent, confronted the homeowner, leading to a physical altercation. During the struggle, Dixon brandished a deadly weapon, ultimately stabbing the homeowner in the back. Despite the surprise attack, the 61-year-old victim displayed remarkable courage and determination. He managed to wrest the knife from Dixon’s grasp and retaliated in self-defense, inflicting injuries on the suspect.
