Plumas County Trio Apprehended in Dramatic PCSO Operation Following Trespassing Report

“Quincy, CA – On Sunday, October 15, 2023, The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) responded to a report of a possible trespassing at a residence near the old Keddie Resort Gas Station. Deputies arrived and began to address the situation, resulting in a series of events leading to the apprehension of three individuals involved in criminal activities.

Upon arrival at the location, one of the suspects attempted to evade law enforcement by fleeing on foot. Meanwhile, two other suspects were located on the scene and subsequently detained for questioning. Following a thorough investigation, the two subjects were arrested.

Later, the third suspect was spotted on foot in the Feather River Canyon near the Greenville Wye, prompting an extensive law enforcement response. Deputies from the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the CHP – Quincy worked collaboratively to locate and apprehend the third suspect.

After traversing challenging terrain for some time, deputies successfully arrested the third suspect, ensuring that all individuals involved in this incident were brought into custody. Upon contacting the third suspect it was discovered he had sustained an injury and was wet from the nearby river. He was transported by ambulance for medical treatment. Subsequently, all three subjects were booked into the Plumas County Jail.

David Hutt, 56 years old, out of Chico, was arrested for burglary, conspiracy, and possession of a controlled substance.

Brian Srotananda, 47 years old, out of Forest Ranch, was arrested for burglary, conspiracy, and possession of a drug paraphernalia.

Jeremial Vail, 50 years old, out of Yankee Hill, was arrested for burglary, conspiracy, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resist/delay/obstruct arrest.
