“On Saturday the 18th, Deputies were dispatched to three persons tagging under the Highway 50 Bridge at Elks Club in South Lake Tahoe. Deputies responded and confronted the subjects who ran from deputies along the Upper Truckee River in the direction of the Lake Tahoe Golf Course. The subjects ignored commands to stop and continued to run away from pursuing deputies. Ultimately two of the three subjects were caught by Deputies and taken into custody. The suspects were found with several cans of spray paint in their possession in addition to paint on their fingers and clothing.

Officers from the California Highway Patrol along with the EDSO Deputies responded to the area under the bridge and located beer bottles, a gallon of paint, paint roller and fresh graffiti which matched the paint found. The gallon of paint was located stashed dangerously in the rocks next to the Upper Truckee River within a few feet of the river and below the high water mark.

The suspects were arrested and charged with vandalism and resisting arrest.
