“Earlier this month, patrol officers responded to a distressing incident as an armed robbery unfolded near Rexleigh Court. Two men allegedly robbed a victim at gunpoint, seizing jewelry and personal property. The subsequent investigation, led by patrol officers and the south area Violent Crime Reduction Team, swiftly identified 28-year-old Basil Husein of Elk Grove as one of the suspects.
Continuing their efforts, officers identified an additional suspect, 28-year-old Sam Alnassiri, also of Elk Grove. A search warrant for both Husein and Alnassiri’s residences was promptly authorized by a judge. During an enforcement stop on Alnassiri’s vehicle away from his residence, officers discovered two loaded handguns and narcotics in his possession.
Simultaneously, while conducting separate traffic stops on both Alnassiri and Husein, officers and detectives initiated the execution of the residential search warrants. The search uncovered significant evidence, including $8,850 in various bills, a Micro Draco AK-style pistol with a 20-round magazine, four empty 5.7mm magazines, and an additional loaded handgun.
Both Husein and Alnassiri were subsequently booked at the Sacramento County Main Jail on charges related to the armed robbery and additional offenses stemming from the items recovered during the search warrants.”
