“On 12-4-2023, at 1:10 P.M., Corona Police officers responded to Sephora located inside Kohl’s at 2489 Tuscany Street, regarding three men and one woman stealing multiple items from Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Kohl’s.
Alert witnesses called 911 to report this activity and provided the direction of travel for the offender’s vehicle, which allowed officers to find the vehicle entering the I-15 from Ontario Avenue.
The offenders, 36-year-old Edgar Varela from Perris, 37-year-old Christina Wanglin from Hesperia, 28-year-old Jesse Gibbs from Yucaipa, and 43-year-old Kevin Lewis from Corona, were all arrested for conspiracy to commit a crime and organized retail theft.
We thank our alert witnesses for helping us catch these thieves!”
