An individual was recently arrested after a Stanislaus County sheriff’s deputy caught him and three others allegedly assaulting another man.
On the morning of Saturday, January 6, a deputy came across four men allegedly attacking another man in the area of Dallas Street and Butte Avenue in unincorporated Modesto, the Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.
When the alleged attackers saw the deputy, they fled the scene, discarding a firearm in the process. The victim identified the primary assailant as 19-year-old Keynu Bordeau, who had allegedly pointed a loaded ghost gun at the victim at the moment the deputy interrupted the attack.
Bordeau was soon located and taken into custody. The victim sustained minor injuries and no shots had been fired, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Bordeau was booked on suspicion of assault and battery, assault with a firearm, brandishing a firearm, being a previously convicted felon in possession of a gun, and carrying an unregistered weapon in public.
No information was given regarding the other three suspects.
