Tehama County Jail Nurse Arrested for Alleged Inappropriate Conduct with Inmate

“On February 8, 2024, the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office received information that a nurse who is contracted to provide medical services to Tehama County Jail may be involved in an inappropriate relationship with an inmate who is incarcerated at the jail.
The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office immediately initiated an investigation into the allegations and the case was forwarded to the Tehama County Major Crimes Task Force.
Investigators were able to identify Annica Pageenkopp as the suspected nurse involved in the relationship. Mrs. Pageenkopp is employed with the Tehama County Health Services Agency and is contracted to provide medical services within the jail.
During the investigation, it was determined that Mrs. Pageenkopp was involved in an inappropriate relationship with an inmate at the jail during her employment and that she had engaged in sexual activity with the inmate while working in the jail.
On February 8,2024, Mrs.Pageenkopp was contacted by investigators and arrested for engaging in sexual activity with an inmate while working in the jail.
