“Willows, CA – On Sunday, March 17, 2024, at 0651 hours, Deputies responded to Cedar Hills Apartments (600 N Humboldt Ave. Willows), for the report of a subject who had been stabbed. Upon arrival, Deputies located a female who had wounds from an apparent cutting instrument. The female was transported to a local hospital but ultimately succumbed to her injuries.
Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit (GLINTF) were detailed and took over the investigation. Through the investigation the suspect was identified as Joseph Corona, who was located, and ultimately arrested in a nearby county. The suspect was then booked into the Glenn County Jail for Homicide.
Additional information will be available at a later date, as the investigation is still active. There is presently no danger to the public related to this investigation.
The Glenn County Sheriff’s Office is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life in this case and offer deepest condolences to the family. It is asked the family is provided privacy during this time.
