Victorville Resident Charged with Murder Following Shooting Incident on Tawney Ridge Lane

“Victorville Murder Suspect Taken into Custody After Shooting Victim in the Leg
INCIDENT: PC 187 – Murder
LOCATION: 16100 Block of Tawney Ridge Lane, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Gregory Jackson, 53-years-old, Resident of Victorville
VICTIM(S): Marshall Mitchell, 44-years-old, Resident of Victorville
SUMMARY:
On Friday, March 22, 2024, at 11:08 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to a residence in the 16100 block of Tawney Ridge Lane, in Victorville, for a subject, identified as Marshall Mitchell, who was shot in the leg. Medical personnel arrived and transported Mitchell to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment of his gunshot wounds.
On Saturday, March 23, 2024, Mitchell left the hospital and was driven to a residence in Rancho Cucamonga. At about 3:11 p.m., Mitchell suffered a medical emergency and was transported to San Antonio Regional Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail responded and assumed the investigation. Through investigation, detectives identified the suspect as Gregory Jackson and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Thursday, March 28, 2024, Jackson was located and taken into custody by the Barstow Police Department. Jackson was later booked in at the High Desert Detention Center where he remains on $1,000,000 bail.
