Arrest Made in Imperial County Traffic Stop: Loaded Firearm Found in Vehicle

“On Sunday, March 31, 2024, at approximately 11:19 p.m. hours, Deputies from the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office Winterhaven Station conducted a Traffic Stop near I8 and Sidewinder Road on a vehicle occupied by four subjects. Upon further investigation it was revealed that there was a firearm in the vehicle.
All four subjects were taken out of the vehicle and detained. It was revealed that one of the passengers was in possession of a loaded firearm. The driver was cited and released for driving without a license. The passenger was later booked into the Imperial County Jail for possession of a loaded firearm and concealing a firearm.”
