Campbell Police Announce Recent Residential Burglary Arrests

“On Wednesday, April 3, at around 1:24 PM, officers responded to a residential burglary on John Kirk Court potentially involving multiple suspects. The suspects entered the victim’s residence and stole various valuables, including a passport, bank cards, a laptop, and jewelry. One suspect was believed to be seen jumping the fence at the end of the cul-de-sac into Kirkwood Plaza.

An officer spotted the suspect at the Subway in Kirkwood Plaza, prompting a pursuit when the suspect fled before contact. The pursuit led back into a nearby neighborhood, where the suspect began scaling fences across multiple backyards. Ultimately, the suspect entered a backyard where a resident was waiting, and with their assistance, law enforcement successfully apprehended the suspect, identified as Tung Hoang, a 48-year-old transient. Hoang was charged with burglary, resisting arrest, vandalism, theft, possession of drugs and burglary tools, as well as outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants. Hoang also faces charges relating to four previous arrests by neighboring agencies.

Then, on Saturday afternoon, April 6, Campbell officers responded to a welfare check concerning a male passed out in a running vehicle stopped in the roadway, facing the wrong way, with drug paraphernalia in plain sight.

The individual was identified as David Pansullo, 33, from Campbell, who had been arrested by our officers on December 28 for a nearly identical call for service when he was found unconscious in a running vehicle with controlled substances, stolen personal identifiable information, and burglary tools. He was also arrested by Campbell PD on January 9 for possession of controlled substances and two felony warrants.

Pansullo was under active and searchable felony SORP (Supervised Own Recognizance Release) for narcotic sales and felon in possession of firearm ammunition, relating to his prior arrests.

Upon searching Pansullo and his vehicle, CPD Officers recovered 142.6 grams of methamphetamine, 24 grams of marijuana, a switchblade, three throwing knives, and various pieces of Personal Identifying Information not belonging to Pansullo.

Furthermore, Pansullo’s residence was search and items from the April 3rd John Kirk burglary were recovered. Pansullo was arrested for charges of possession of controlled substances with intent to sell, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, identity theft, committing a felony while out on bail, and possession of a switchblade in a vehicle. Currently, Pansullo remains in custody pending further legal proceedings.”
