Three Arrested by Gang Suppression Deputies in Two Separate Incidents
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office arrested three individuals in two separate incidents amid ongoing efforts to reduce gang violence in the community.
On May 8th, deputies from the Gang Suppression Section conducted a probation search at Cedarbrook Lane in Bakersfield. Deputies reportedly found about a quarter pound of methamphetamine, drug sales paraphernalia, ammunition, and an extended pistol magazine.
David Murphy, 48, and Ricky Blay, 53, were arrested and charged with multiple felonies. They were booked into the Kern County Jail.
Earlier, on May 4th, deputies served a search warrant at Chester Avenue, Bakersfield, around 8 PM, as part of an investigation into illegal firearm possession. Deputies reportedly discovered a Glock-style firearm modified to be fully automatic. The serial numbers had also been removed.
Christopher Gonzales, 21, was arrested on multiple felony charges and booked into the Kern County jail.
