Solano County Man Arrested for the Alleged Murder of His Mother
Rio Vista Police recently arrested a man for the alleged murder of his elderly mother in Trilogy.
According to a press release by the Rio Vista Police Department, officers responded on the afternoon of May 13 to the 500 block of Birch Ridge Drive to conduct a welfare check.
At the scene, officers reportedly discovered the suspect, described as a 57-year-old male, and took him into custody after a brief struggle.
In the residence, officers found the body of a 78-year-old woman, whom they ultimately identified as the suspect’s mother.
The suspect was booked at the Solano County jail on suspicion of murder and other charges.
Solano County Sheriff’s detectives and crime scene investigators responded to the scene to continue the investigation. Details are being kept confidential in the meantime.
