Healdsburg Man Arrested for Alleged DUI, Unlawful Weapon Possession

Healdsburg police recently arrested a man on suspicion of driving under the influence and unlawful weapon possession, according to a department media release.
On the afternoon of June 2, an officer reportedly observed a sedan traveling northbound on Highway 101 at over 85 miles per hour. The vehicle reportedly swerved multiple times and cut off several vehicles before exiting on the Central Healdsburg offramp.
The officer safely stopped the sedan on the 400 block of Healdsburg Avenue.
Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer allegedly found multiple open beer bottles inside, police said.
The driver and passenger were detained, and a search of the vehicle was conducted.
The officer reportedly discovered a ghost gun with a laser attached under one of the front seats, loaded with five .40 caliber rounds. The officer also found a ballistic body armor in the back seat, police said.
The driver, identified as Jesus Sanchez Ortiz, 20, of Healdsburg, was arrested on suspicion of carrying a loaded handgun when not the registered owner, carrying a loaded concealed weapon, driving under the influence, and being a minor in possession of alcohol.
The passenger, identified as Juan GaliciaElias, 20, of Cloverdale, was arrested on suspicion of carrying a loaded handgun when not the registered owner and carrying a loaded concealed weapon.
